Dr. Blobstein earned his Bachelor’s degree from Touro College, majoring in Biology and graduating with honors. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (formerly UMDNJ) where he served as president of Alpha Omega. Before specializing in pediatrics, Dr. Blobstein completed a one year general residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY in order to gain broad experience in dentistry across the lifespan. He then stayed on at Woodhull for an additional two years of residency to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry. He received extensive training in all pediatric procedures including dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia.
Dr. Blobstein is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, New York Dental Association and Second District Dental Association. He also holds certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
When he isn't filling cavities, Dr. Blobstein enjoys using his hands to tinker around the house and loves hanging out with his wife and kids. It is these very kids that have given Dr. Blobstein the opportunity to hone his superhuman attributes of calm and patience :)
You're the One He Can't Wait to Meet
The AAPD recommends children are seen by a pediatric dentist by the age of one but you can wait until those pearly whites have finally popped through, whenever that is for your child. The first visit is usually short and sweet, involving very little treatment and leaving your child with a good taste in his/her mouth for the dental experience. (Quite literally actually..we’ve got all sorts of yummy fluoride flavors!) During the exam, Dr. Blobstein will check all of your child’s existing teeth for possible decay, examine his/her bite and look for any potential problems with the gums and jaw. Your child will then receive a nice, NON painful cleaning and usually have fluoride applied to the teeth. Fluoride helps prevent decay by making the tooth more resistant to acid, which erodes at the tooth enamel. Your child will then be taught all about the importance of tooth brushing and flossing, receive a special brushing chart to take home and then be loaded up with awesome prizes!

Dr Blobstein was so patient with my 5 children. Some of my kids aren’t the easiest at the dentist and he rly took the time to explain to them what he was going to do instead of sticking tools in their mouth with no warning. He calmed my kids before each procedure. I have never met such a nice, calm dentist before. Highly highly recommend!

Dr Blobstein is extremely professional, patient and caring. He is constantly reassuring both the parent and child leaving everyone knowing that they are in the best hands. My kids actually look forward to seeing the dentist!! Besides the amazing care that is given the prizes are aweeeesome!! Dr. Blobstein is the best!

Great dentist! My kids are 4, 3 and 2 years old and I was worried they would yell, cry or even worse bite the dentist’s fingers. Dr Blobstein was great, kind and compassionate. My kids did great. They didn’t cry.. They actually enjoyed it and now keep asking when are they going back!!
